The first thing that ran though my mind when heard something and saw my surfboard fly off the top of my car was "How could I forget to strap down my baby?" The second was more along the line of what kind of damage did it do? Well to my surprise there were very few dings that came with all that drama. So after pulling over and collecting my favorite surfboard from the side of the road along with a few humiliating looks from the passing traffic, I turned around and went home to search for a good deal on a fiberglass repair kit. My board was made from epoxy resin so I was going to need one of the more expensive type epoxy repair kits that wouldn't harm the core foam my board was shaped from, what a nightmare this daydreaming had got me into.

Well lucky me! I fixed the dings a few days later and to my surprise the surf was still good so off I went only this time I remembered one very important thing...strap your surfboard down before hitting the road and your day can go much smoother.
